Privacy policy

Short version: your progress lives in your own browser. No account, no ads, no tracking, nothing sold.

Last updated 24 September 2026 legal review before launch

This policy explains what happens to information when you visit this website (the "Site") or play Last Man Hooping (the "Game"). It is written in plain language on purpose. It is not a contract for you to sign; it is information we owe you about how the Site and the Game work.

Who we are

The Site and the Game are made by legal name of the person or company, based in registered address and country. We are the "controller" responsible for the decisions described in this policy.

What we collect, and where it lives

Almost everything about your progress stays on your own device. There is no sign-up, no account and no central database of players. Your browser stores two things locally, using a standard browser feature called localStorage:

  • lmh-save, your progress: a nickname you type yourself (up to 10 characters, "YOU" by default), your chosen hooper, the in-game currency Dimes, your XP and level, unlocks, cosmetics, Training, missions, your daily streak with a timestamp, a local top-8 scoreboard (name, score, time, combo and date) and settings such as volume, motion, zoom and key bindings.
  • lmh-analytics, a rolling record of your last 500 gameplay events, such as a run starting or a hoop being scored. It never leaves your device. We do not receive it and nothing sends it anywhere.

You can export your progress as a backup code (a block of text you can save and import on another device) and reset everything at any time from Settings. A share card image is created and downloaded on your own device. Copying text or using your device's share sheet is your own action; we get no copy unless you send us one.

Because this data lives in your browser, clearing your site data or losing your device deletes it for good, and we cannot recover it. That is why the backup code exists.

What we do not do

Today the Site and the Game do not ask you to create an account or log in, ask for your name, email or age, use cookies or similar tracking, run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts that send information anywhere, include third-party SDKs, show ads, or sell anything. Dimes and every other item can only be earned by playing, never bought, sold or exchanged for money. We collect no personal data, so we have none to sell or share.

If this changes, for example if ads, analytics or purchases are added, we will update this policy first and explain what changed.

Emails you send us

If you email us, for example at support@lastmanhooping.com, we see your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list or share your email with anyone except the provider we use to send and receive email. email provider and how long support emails are kept

Hosting and logs

The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which delivers pages and protects against abuse. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard connection information for every request (such as IP address, browser type and request details) to route traffic and keep the Site secure. We do not use it for analytics or profiling. Cloudflare's own handling of this information is described in its privacy policy. confirm Cloudflare log retention settings

Portals and app stores

We plan to bring the Game to web portals such as CrazyGames, Poki and itch.io, and later to Google Play, the App Store and the Microsoft Store. Each is a separate company with its own privacy policy, and may wrap its own accounts, ads or analytics around the Game. Their practices are not covered by this policy, so if you play there, please read theirs too. links to each platform's privacy policy once a listing is live

Children

The Game is made to be enjoyed by a wide audience, including young teens, without collecting personal information. There is no age check and no account, so we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone of any age. Your nickname is stored only on your device and never sent to us; it should not be your real name. age rating once a store or portal assigns one Parents and guardians with questions can contact us below.

Your rights

Almost nothing about you is stored anywhere except your own device, so there is usually little for us to act on. Where data protection law, such as the EU or UK GDPR, gives you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your data, or to object to how it is used:

  • For your local save and gameplay record, you already have full control: export a backup code for a copy, or reset progress in Settings to delete everything.
  • For anything you have emailed us, contact us and we will find, correct or delete it, unless we have a good reason to keep it, such as an open dispute.
  • You can also complain to your local data protection authority. name and link the relevant authority

Retention

Your local save stays on your device for as long as you keep it. The gameplay record keeps only the latest 500 events, and we hold no copy of either. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your question and for our records. retention period for support emails

Changes

We may update this policy as the Game changes, especially before adding ads, analytics, purchases or new platforms. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
